U14s played some of their best football to earn themselves a place in Tipp Cup final. In a tense first half Town had the better of the chances with their physical play making it difficult for the Park to play football, but the u14s were more than up to the task and not only stood there ground but worked several good chances in the second half while containing town to a couple of set pieces. Josh Keane pushed home after Tom Kirwan knocked the ball back across the box from a corner, town hit back within 2 mins when a ball cleared off the line was not closed down on the edge of the box allowing the town player to chip into the top corner. However it was the Park who continued to created chances and Liam Casey got the winner with 15mins to go following some good passing down the right flank and a great pass across to Casey on the left, leaving him one on one with the keeper, a cool finish and solid Park defence saw out the game and put the Park into the Cup Final. Squad, B Operha, D Buckley, T Kirwan, K Hickey, K Davis, S Duggan, I Flannery, G Cronin, L Blake, D Finnane, L Casey, J Keane, J Fitzgerald, A Murphy(inj) N McKenna (inj)
