Match Report

The first game of the season and with a few players being played in new positions we made things dificult for ourselves. Having scored first the game looked to be going our way but Vee showed great character and came back at us following a free which saw everyone in the box go for but no one touch. With the ball ending up in the net the lads were a little unsettled and by half time Vee had scored twice more to leave us trailing 3-1. After a half time pep talk the boys pulled themselves together and started playing some great football. Nathan, James and Ian prevented Vee from producing any threats at the back and Kevin was delivering great balls into Barry and Liam giving countless opportunities to score. The pressure eventually told and after drawing level, sub. William bundled the ball over from yet another Kevin cross to produce the winner. F-T 4-3.
