If only we took our chances! Cahir welcomed St Kevins to Duneske hoping to build on the solid performance of the previous week. Playing with a stiff wintry breeze in the first half, Cahir set about their task passing the ball really well and closing down when when St Kevins did attack. Although possession was ours for most of the half it was the opposition that scored first. Picked up in midfield, a long range shot looked to be soaring over the bar when it caught the wind and dropped over the keepers head and into the goal. Cahir responded immediately when William was able to take advantage of a goalmouth scramble. The second half saw us playing the ball smartly on the ground and once again creating chances only to be foiled by some rash shooting and some smart goalkeeping. After some neat interplay with William, It was Barry Cooney who put us ahead. 2-1 though is always a dangerous scoreline and after Barry and Mikey going off, a now 10 man Cahir fell foul of a hopeful ball over the top. A disappointing draw again but the players can take great heart from passing and moving the ball around the pitch really well in difficult conditions. Man of the Match. Kevin Griffin. 100% effort throughout.
