U12 v Bansha

Once again we were slow out of the blocks and conceded an early goal. Playing against the wind in the first half we pulled ourselves back into the game and after 15 minutes we were rewarded with a penalty. The Bansha keeper pulled off a great save to deny us. Cahir continued to press for the remaining 15 without a breakthrough. Half-Time 0-1. Playing with the wind in the 2nd half it was somewhat easier to stretch the game out and after a great deal of pressure we were again rewarded with a penalty. This one went just wide and maybe today wasn't going to be Cahir's day. After more pressure and playing mostly in the Bansha half we were rewarded for our efforts when Danny Lambert volleyed home from a Nathan Shine corner. Cahir can feel proud of their display today by continuing to battle away when the game refused to go the way on chances created. well done lads.
