Match Report

We welcomed Blackcastle United from north tipp in the Fai junior cup, the game started pretty even with both sides enjoying good spells of possession, in the early stages it looked like the visitors might cause us problems by playing some good football but when we settled into the game we were by far the better team, it took us until five minutes before half time to open the scoring, when Daniel Molden cut inside his marker and curled a shot into the far corner to give us the half time lead.
We started the second half in blistering fashion when with less than a minute on the clock Benny Ryan latched onto a long throw from Colin Keane to smash home from twelve yards, a minute later Davy Williams made the game safe when he headed home a Graeme Keane cross, we took over from there on and it the inevitable happened with fifteen minutes left when we scored our fourth as Eammon Mcevoy poked home a Daniel Molden through ball, with ten minutes remaining Shane Murphy added the fifth when he cooly finished after a great dribble which took him past four defenders to leave the final score five nil.
